The extra aging adds a smoothness, but also seems to mellow the flavors a bit more. Aroma: Agave, Vanilla and Wood. A nice mixture. Initial Taste: Very Sweet. Almost too much so. Body: Wood comes through a bit more and it's a medium body. Finish: Almost no burn and a lighter spice linger than the repo. More vanilla and agave than spice with no tingle. Maybe I just like a bit more burn and flavor. This is still a really good tequila, but just not my favorite from the line...which are all really good. The bottle looks fantastic and the plastic stopper is cheap. Drinking it as we speak from a 4 oz. shot glass. This is one smooth anejo my friends. Has a typical straw color that you would expect from a quality anejo, has a subtle nose that hides the true surprise that awaits you. Sniff sniff, Let it settle on your tongue for a bit and you'll discover a rich full body almost begging you to hold it just a bit longer. Not very oily but some tears, there are simple hints of the barrel, caramel, peppers... Has a slight spicy taste on the tongue on the way down, but nothing over bearing.
