<![CDATA[Dos Manos Tequila Anejo - Tequila.net]]> https://tequila.net/ <![CDATA[Dos Manos Tequila Anejo: Good Value from NOM 1472]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=3145 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=3145 It seems like NOM 1472 makes just about every tequila. If you aren't sure, you can assume that it's made by Fabrica de Tequilas Finos. Dos Manos is maybe their flagship brand and is well priced so that everyone can afford it. I've had plenty of the other juices (KAH, Kirkland Costco Tequila, Don Camilo, etc), so let's just jump right into this one. Price: $20-25/bottle Aroma: An inviting aroma of agave, oak, berries and baking spice. Initial Taste: A fairly sweet agave entry with a compliment of fruit and vanilla. Body: Medium to thin body for an añejo. The oak and cinnamon come in and give it a nice balance. Finish: A medium length linger with some nice pepper and spice notes along with some oak and agave/vanilla sweetness. For $25, this is something that everyone can enjoy. Good balance, nice sweetness without being overly sweet and enough agave to not be completely lost despite the aging. Just a good, solid value juice out of NOM 1472. Out of the tequilas that I've had from there, it most reminds me of Don Camilo with the strong spice aspect. If you're looking for a budget añejo, this one should be on your list of ones to check out. ]]> Tue, 17 Dec 2013 03:59:43 +0000 <![CDATA[Dos Manos Tequila Anejo: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=1458 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=1458 Bought 3/15/10, paid $20 from e-tailer. Bought because this distiller bottle some other fine tequila brands. The bottle is corked and not a splashy affair. Sampled 3/31/10 from a large shot glass. Straw in color and bleeds quickly down the glass, will gather quickly on the side. No reason to let breath its the same regardless of time out of the bottle. The nose is mostly agave/alcohol with a slight vanilla/floral wiff. Holds surprisingly well on the tongue, body is lack luster but finishes with a nice alcohol sting and oak residue. Its a no frills quality tequila, it exhibits much of the breading of a more costly tequila but has none of the complexities of some finer Anejo's. For $20, you can not ask for more. ]]> Thu, 01 Apr 2010 17:36:33 +0000 <![CDATA[Dos Manos Tequila Anejo: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=1301 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=1301 Tasted out of a snifter. Dos Manos anejo is a decent anejo. Not something I'd get to excited about, but not something I'd be disappointed in either. At $24.99, it's a value worth noticing. Aroma: Sweet Vanilla and slight cherry. Initial Taste: A semi-oily mouth feel. A nice sweet entry with no bitterness. Initial taste of sweet vanilla. Body: A nice body full of vanilla, agave, charred wood, and slight cherry. Nice! FInish: A slightly heated finish of short duration with a sweet agave lingering. ]]> Thu, 05 Nov 2009 13:53:05 +0000
