Very different to the various repos and anejos I've tried. The first impression I get is this: mellow. It's a very mellow tequila. It has a kind of creamy flavour (and nose) to it that I like, followed by a pleasant heat. The nose is a little fuely though. Strangely, for a 100% agave tequila, there's a very very faint reminiscence of light rum in there. You wouldn't notice it if you weren't analysing it though. If you're expecting full-flavoured loud tequila, this isn't for you, it's much more subtle. For the price (£23.39) I cannot fault it. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I'll definately be adding this to the favourites list. It slips down very easily; so much so that I would almost label this 'dangerous' :) I'm not a fan of this in margaritas though. Maybe I need to adjust my recipe, but it just didn't cut through the other ingredients as much as other tequilas. I must be heathen - sipping blancos but making margs with anejos ;D Presentation isn't up to much though - cheap printing, not a particularly interesting bottle. ]]> Thu, 31 May 2012 21:02:38 +0000 <![CDATA[Arette Tequila Blanco: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=894 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=894 Purchased a glass for $8 at Malo in Los Angeles. This blanco was very decent, I would put it on the lighter side. It's one of those I would definitely recommend to new blanco drinkers as it is subtle and won't scare you away. Aroma: A light floral and fruity nose. Very subtle yet pleasant. Initial Taste: A mildy heated entry, a semi oily mouth feel, it was sweet with no bitterness. First taste was fruit. Body: A pleasant agave body with mild hints of earth smoke and spice. Finish: An unheated finish of short duration with a lingering aftertaste of agave. ]]> Fri, 21 Nov 2008 12:47:44 +0000 <![CDATA[Arette Tequila Blanco: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=168 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=168 Arette Blanco ? NOM 1109 ? Tasted 3/1/07. The tequila is clear in color. Beginning with intense earthy, fruity, spicy, and floral aromas, the deeper aromas include moderate smoke scents. On the tip of the tongue there is a mellow sensation that is followed by a sweet taste with no bitterness. Upon tasting, the tequila has intense agave and earth with moderate spice flavors. Arette Blanco tequila finishes with a medium duration of flavor and slight numbing alcohol intensity. Overall, I rate this tequila at the ?B+? level. ]]> Sun, 27 May 2007 06:35:28 +0000
