Mi Tierra seems to epitomize that. They're a good base tequila, but lack a certain imagination that would make it stick out from the very crowded word of tequila. Aroma: Earthy agave with a hint of wet clay. Initial Taste: Earthy agave entry. Nothing more. Body: Medium-light body, slightly oily. The flavor is agave and earth. There's a light white pepper spice to compliment the agave, but nothing special. Finish: Medium finish with light agave and pepper flavors on the finish. It's light and pleasant, but nothing memorable. This is the decent tequila. In the $30 range, it's not a bad value, but in my opinion there are better tequilas to be bad for less money. The bottle looks great and the flavor would seem to make this a versatile spirit. Solid...but not spectacular. ]]> Mon, 18 Jun 2012 00:55:00 +0000 <![CDATA[Mi Tierra Tequila Silver: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=868 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=868 Purchased from Hi Time for $31.99. Tasted out of a snifter. For some reason, the tequilas from the Amatitan region never quite make me want more. I don't think they are bad at all, they just leave me wanting more. This blanco was a nice middle of the road blanco. Not harsh, not mild. I'd say a decent blanco for those delving into the blanco world. As far as presentation is concerned, a very nice bottle with a decent cork stopper. A solid 'B' tequila in my book. Aroma: A nose consisting of agave, earth, and grass. Initial Taste: Upon entry, it's slightly sweet, with no bitterness. First taste I detected was a a sweet agave. Body: A simply body consisting of agave and earth. Nothing complex here. Finish: A very unheated finish of medium duration, with a lingering agave taste. Like I said, not a bad tequila at all, just nothing special to report. ]]> Tue, 21 Oct 2008 13:12:14 +0000
