Not much to it, but not overly harsh either.

Aroma: Not much there. Some agave, pepper and alcohol.
Initial Taste: One of the most bland tequilas I've ever tasted. Just a touch of agave flavor, but almost watery.
Body: Thin, alcohol tasting and slight pepper.
Finish: All Sauzas have a alcohol burn, but this one was really mild. Smooth, but who cares if there's no flavor to go along with it.

It may be cheaper than Patron, but Patron does it better. If you're looking for a smooth tequila with no strong flavors, this one could work for you. I just prefer ones with more depth. The price isn't horrible for 100% agave, so it does have that going for it.

This tequila is better than most of the low end tequilas, not worth the price, initial taste a little harsh, body was passable, the finish was fair I was expecting better, a good tequila to take to a party and leave the bottle when you leave, new or inexperienced tequila drinkers really like it, but in my opinion it's the advertising that makes them think it's a top shelf tequila. Would buy again in a pinch. A fair tequila overall.

I am huge fan of Hornitos Reposado and I will typicallyl recommend it to people new to tequila who are looking for a cheap bottle of 100% agave to keep in their home. Hornitos Reposado is a solid tequila, with an excellent value, while the blanco definitely tastes "cheap". The nose is clean and crisp however the initial taste and body leave you wanting something more, and the finish is downright bitter. Personally, I like to enjoy a good silver on the rocks with a squeeze of lime on a warm spring or summer day. This tequila DEFINITELY is not good for sipping on the rocks. Might be good in a paloma or as a base tequila for margaritas but definitely not recommended for tequila enthusiasts. 1800 Silver and Cazadores Silver are both in the same price range and are much better quality blancos than the Hornitos Silver. I'd advise against this bottle unless it is on sale.

It has some flavor to it, but it doesn't seem to be made with the best quality agave. Finishing off there was a medium amount of alcohol burn. This was not one of my favorites.

The Aroma: Flat
Body: Again, flat. Like not the highest quality agave
Smoothness: Well, flat equals smooth.

Maybe I had a bad bottle, but I was very dissapointed, especially for the price (30 bux)

I tried this tequila at the Graduate in Davis, CA and tasted it out of a Riedel glass. The tequila is clear in color. The Hornitos aromas consist of intense fruit, spice, and floral aspects followed by moderate earth. On the lighter side, this Plata has mild aromas of smoke. On the tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a thin mouth feel. While the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it is sweet and has no bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense notes of fruit followed by moderate agave, floral, and spice aspects. Deeper flavors of Hornitos Plata consist of hints of earth. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a short-to-medium duration of flavor and slightly numbing alcohol intensity. I have rated this tequila at 87/88 out of 100 points.
