I sipped it and it tasted a little fruity with some floral notes. This is a really good blanco, if your willing to shell out a few extra dollars I suggest you try this out. I'm not even much of a sipper but if you like it neat this is a solid tequila for either sipping or mixing. Not sure what some of these reviews are talking about, blancos are suppose to be clean, light, and not too complex. I still taste some complexity with this, a fruity floral taste combined with that agave swirl in your mouth and it is not at all harsh, there's a slight burn but you get that with just about every tequila. ]]> Sat, 20 Jun 2015 02:57:27 +0000 <![CDATA[Sauza Tres Generaciones Tequila Plata: Tres Generaciones Plata]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=3237 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=3237 Tasted in a Reidel glass on April 3, 2014. I'm surprised to find this Sauza product hadn't been reviewed in four years. What does that say? Not overly popular? I found it at Costco for $33. My take on this juice is that nothing about it is distinguishing. Even for a Sauza product it's not their best. Hornitos is a lot smoother and costs less. I tasted this against the Kirkland Signature Blanco and enjoyed the Kirkland more. It had more taste and more character. The Tres Generaciones had a longer burn and has a more alcohol taste. It's okay for margaritas, but I would never drink this neat or even on the rocks. The agave taste is there, but not strong. I really don't pick out much of anything else. Stick to the margaritas, but for my money, and if that's all you want, you get a much bigger bottle for $10 less with the Kirkland brand. Tasted in snifter. A 'B' grade isn't a bad grade, but this was not a favorite or memorable blanco of mine. As with most 'B's' I give, I'd recommend using as a mixer. Aroma: Light peppery hints as well as light floral. But just not enough for me. Initial Taste: Slight alcohol burn on tip of tongue followed by burst of floral and spice. Body: Agave presence kicks in. Again, not enough for me. Feels like it falls short. Finish: Short duration with mild alcohol burn. Unfortunately for me, not very memorable. Leaves something to be desired. ]]> Mon, 16 Jun 2008 22:18:35 +0000 <![CDATA[Sauza Tres Generaciones Tequila Plata: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=179 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=179 Sauza Tres Generations Silver ? NOM 1102 ? Tasted 12/27/06. The tequila is clear in color. Beginning with intense fruity and floral aromas, the deeper aromas include moderate spice and mild earthy scents. On the tip of the tongue there is a slight burning sensation that is followed by a sweet-to-syrupy, low bitter taste. Upon tasting, the tequila has intense floral and moderate agave, earth, and fruity flavors. Sauza Tres Generations Silver tequila finishes with a medium-to-long duration of flavor and a numbing, tingly alcohol intensity. Overall, I rate this tequila at the ?B+? level. ]]> Sun, 27 May 2007 07:09:45 +0000
