Nose is very nice, thick sweet agave followed by vegetal peppery notes, with subnotes of bacon smoke and thyme, and also a bit of parmesan cheese.

The initial taste is mildly sweet, then very similar to Casa Noble blanco with green peppers and black peppercorns, but not nearly as thick. Agave is present as well, but also a bit muted. Mid palate the taste turns to green olive brine, then finishes with a nice anise. The finish does linger for a bit, in an enjoyable way.

Overall, it's definitely a good bargain at $17 for 750ml. It won't rock your world, but I wouldn't be embarrassed to serve this to friends straight up or in a cocktail. It has enough flavor to be initially interesting to experienced tasters, but it won't put off newbies with odd or strong notes. My biggest criticism would be the packaging, as the silver/blue label on a retangular bottle looks too much like a gin or vodka offering (but you don't drink the bottle, right?). I would mildly recommend buying a bottle if you're at a Trader Joe's shopping for other stuff.
