The nose is not what you'd expect from a typical repo; earth and grass dominate, with caramel in the background. Sweet entry of caramel with a very slight bitterness and raw agave. Medium body with slight oiliness - right in the wheelhouse. A nice finish of medium duration - mostly caramel with some agave lingering as well. Overall very enjoyable. It's not extremely complex, but not one dimensional either. I think aging in the pre-used wine barrels gives it something unique. Price: in the 30s I like it; in the 40s I like it a little less; I have seen both. Light wooded agave nose with hints of spice and vanilla. Initial fruity agave taste, with the body turning sweet with mild oak and vanilla. A mild spicy finish, fruity, with agave and oak aftertaste.
