There is some agave, but mostly tropical fruit and spices like anise - very typical 1079 aromas. Upon entry, it is very tingly on the tip of the tongue, yet sweet with more fruit, spice, and now sweet spearmint. Body is medium oily and feels quite nice. The finish has a lingering heat and a vegetal aftertaste that sneaks up - a nice surprise.

The burn and intense flavors may not be for everyone, but for an experienced tequila drinker this really hits the mark. And for the price, you will be hard pressed to find a better, more complex, reposado. It is kind of an odd shaped bottle that isn't the most functional, but I can overlook that for good juice.

Aroma: Agave, roasted nuts and spice (cinnamon).
Initial taste: A light sweetness along with spice.
Body: Light, semi-oily body. All of the flavors work well together for a nice overall flavor.
Finish: Light alcohol burn that is very pleasant. Spices and agave flavors linger nicely as well.

Aha Toro is a great brand. The bottle looks great and is very distinctive. The plastic stopper is a poor addition...real or synthetic cork would have been better, but that's just nitpicking. This is a very good juice.

Aha Toro Reposado lot #190
Complex aromas of oak, butter, a whiff of cinnamon and peppercorns.
The mouthfeel is quite thick and i get a distinct peppery feel.
The Tequila reminds me abit about the 10 year old Talisker.
Very little burn and a nice, quite sweet aroma after the peppery notes has faded.
Almost floral. Very delicate.
Beautiful handblown bottle, not a fan of the synthetic stopper, which requires too much effort to get on and off.
A very good reposado indeed.
