This is a good tequila, but its not great. I was expecting more since so many people swear by it.

Aroma: SLight berry and agave
Initial Taste: A thin mouth feel, no bitterness, and an initial taste of slight berry.
Body: light agave, earth and berry.
Finish: A lightly heated finish of short duration and of agave and earth

Purchased at Total Wines and More for $20 for 750ml. This maker also produces Arette Gran Clase, Tres Agaves tequilas, El Gran Viejo, Agave de Oro and others. This tequila feels light and somewhat delicate. It has hints of sweetness, vanilla, and caramel. Some may say flowery. My specialty is tasting or drinking inexpensive tequila that delivers good value. Arette Reposado fits that description very well. I think Arette has one of the best tequila websites also. Check it out at www.tequilaarette.com.

This is another thoroughly enjoyable tequila I would gladly use in a margarita or other cocktails, but I can also enjoy it by sipping and on the rocks. It's not the smoothest juice I've had, but compares favorably with other smooth inexpensive brands like Hornitos. It's finish is very nice and definitely not harsh. Overall, I think this juice, while not what I consider outstanding (or special), warrants a "good, above average" rating. Salud.

I've heard good things about it...especially the gran clase, but being a reposado guy, I thought this would be the best first choice.

Aroma: Earthy agave with floral and vanilla notes.
Initial Taste: Nice agave flavor with floral and citrus hints.
Body: Pretty thin body. A lot of earth and oak in the body.
Finish: Medium finish. Nothing too special. Light pepper linger with aftertaste of oak with slight bitterness and spice.

This wasn't a bad tequila...it just wasn't that impressive either. Decent reposado character, but nothing that made it stand out from the crowd. For $30 and under, it's an OK buy and it won't dissuade me from trying another Arette down the road.

The tequila is a pale yellow color with intense floral and earthy aromas. A soft mellow entry leads to a very sweet taste, with low bitterness and heavy agave flavor. While there is intense agave and floral flavors, the tequila also has moderate fruity flavors that are followed by mild accents of earth, vanilla, and spice. The tequila finishes with a medium duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol finish. Overall, I gave the tequila an A.
