The cost was in the mid-tier at $28 and the ratings on this site were good, so I decided to pull the trigger. The initial nose was sweet and pleasant, which was a good sign. I poured a sip, let it air for a few minutes, then took a taste. I'm not good with tasting hints of floral, fruit or other such things. All I know is if I like the taste and if there is an unpleasant burn. The taste of this reposado was very nice and it was smooth, to boot. The overall experience with the sip was better than some higher-cost anejos I've tried. I could add this to my sipping list. As for the margaritas, it totally rocked. Smooth and great tasting. for a mid-tier tequila, this one fits the bill for bot an all around choice. Sippers and mixers both should be satisfied. ]]> Sun, 01 Jan 2012 01:04:54 +0000 <![CDATA[Don Eduardo Tequila Reposado: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=856 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=856 A very nice reposado, great balance between smokiness and agave flavor. It had a aroma and aftertaste that reminded me of bourbon, maybe from the aging. I liked it as I am also a bourbon lover. I always consider if the reposado is suitable for long term sipping to get a rating in the 90's with me and this one sure did. Even though I usually prefer a sweeter agave taste I still like this product. ]]> Wed, 15 Oct 2008 00:56:36 +0000 <![CDATA[Don Eduardo Tequila Reposado: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=243 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=243 Don Eduardo Reposado ? NOM 1110 ? Tasted on 6/15/07 at 5:25pm. I purchased 1.5 ounces of this tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento, CA and tasted it out of a snifter. The tequila is pale yellow in color and is aged for 6 months. Don Eduardo Reposado aromas consist of intense earth, fruit, and floral aspects followed by moderate spice. On the lighter side, this Anejo has hints of vanilla and smoke. On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has an medium mouth feel. While the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it has a low sweetness and mild bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of earth followed by mild fruit, floral, smoke, wood, and spice aspects. Deeper flavors of Don Eduardo Reposado consist of hints of chemicals. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a short-to-medium duration of flavor and a subtle numbing alcohol intensity. I have rated this tequila at 86 out of 100 points. ]]> Sun, 17 Jun 2007 19:36:23 +0000 <![CDATA[Don Eduardo Tequila Reposado: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=156 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=156 I just don't like Orendain's tequilas. ]]> Thu, 24 May 2007 21:12:10 +0000 <![CDATA[Don Eduardo Tequila Reposado: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=142 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=142 Very good repo for the price, and makes a great margarita. Smooth with little tastes of wood, agave, and bourbon. ]]> Sat, 05 May 2007 17:48:20 +0000
