Appearance: Pale amber clear
Aroma: Mild agave and oak with a slight ginseng scent (earthy wood).
Initial Taste: Very nice flavors of agave, oak, honey and peppery spices all nicely balanced. Very smooth with no alcohol burn.
Body: Light buttery mouth feel and fast tears on glass. The sweet caramel is up front but the agave and oak flavors take over to nicely balance out the overall flavor.
Finish: Nice medium-length smooth and sweet finish of agave, oak and honey. It ends with a nice peppery fade.
Price: RRP: $43.99 (90)
Presentation: Attractively designed bottle and foil label. (92)

This is an excellent reposado for sipping. Nicely aged and balanced flavors without being too sweet. Since there is not a lot of information available on this tequila I also did a side-by-side tasting with El Destilador Reposado, which I reviewed earlier, for comparison. They were very similar but the El Destilador had a nicer aroma and a more flavorful initial taste. I had scored the El Destilador Reposado slightly higher in the previous tasting.

There's not a lot of info out there on it, but the price was right, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Aroma: A really nice nose with agave and fruit with a nice light compliment of earth and light smoke.
Initial Taste: Agave, Vanilla and Fruit. And something that tastes almost nutty.
Body: Nice medium body. A great balance of agave, oak, spice and a light vanilla/caramel sweetness to round it out.
Finish: A great medium length spicy linger with a touch of agave & pepper. A great finish to a really good tequila.

I bought this for $30 from Mission. For that price, it's an absolute steal. This is a wonderful tequila in all aspects. Highly recommended.
