Light straw in color, with very long legs, this is a great repo. Very much a reposado, if u get what I mean. An excellent sipper for the newbie and the aficionado alike. That being said, every aspect of this fine reposado invites a more intimate examination -Brilliant pale gold in colour and with full viscosity it confidently offers deep aromas of sweet rich agave and wood. Body is luscious agave with more wood and a late spice note creeping in. Don Valente finishes with the same confidence - spice, pepper and a superbly balanced alcohol flush. I have tried them all countless times side by side. Don Valentes Reposado is a beautiful honey straw color. The taste is naturally very sweet with hints of wood. The agave is not masked at all by the aging and the finish is outstanding. Everytime I try this tequila I write different notes. I find this reposado complex to say the least and full of mystery.
