Light straw in color, with very long legs, this is a great repo. Very much a reposado, if u get what I mean. An excellent sipper for the newbie and the aficionado alike. Don Valente is one excellent line. Im looking forward to trying the anejo someday.

Aroma: A very clear nose of wood and earth.
Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel. Slightly sweet entry with no bitterness. Initial taste of cooked agave.
Body: A great cooked agave body complimented by earth, with slight wood and herbs.
Finish: A very smooth finish thats slightly sweet. With an earthy/agave lingering.

That being said, every aspect of this fine reposado invites a more intimate examination -Brilliant pale gold in colour and with full viscosity it confidently offers deep aromas of sweet rich agave and wood. Body is luscious agave with more wood and a late spice note creeping in. Don Valente finishes with the same confidence - spice, pepper and a superbly balanced alcohol flush.
The care taken in the production of this tequila is evident - it is a splendid top-shelf reposado from start to finish.

I have tried them all countless times side by side.

Don Valentes Reposado is a beautiful honey straw color. The taste is naturally very sweet with hints of wood. The agave is not masked at all by the aging and the finish is outstanding. Everytime I try this tequila I write different notes. I find this reposado complex to say the least and full of mystery. Its a must try sipper!

Balanced agave nose and complexity, with hints of oak and vanilla. Initial taste of cooked agave, which turns to sweetened cirtus flavors. Short finish with woody vanilla, and a mild cinnamon aftertaste.
