This is followed by tastes of light agave, candied sweet potato, mango, oak, & pineapple with a bright, light-medium body & flavors of intense dried fruit. The finish was very long which rolled of the palate to the back of the throat. I experienced absolutely no heat or alcohol burn resulting in a delightfully smooth & very pleasurable tasting.

I found this tequila better than previous reviews & also sweeter than most other brands with a slightly less, pronounced agave flavor. If you don't like a sweet tequila, Hererncia de Plata Reposado is not for you. At $212, pesos that is, it was a steal of a deal!

This reposado was pretty good. It leans on the sweeter side, almost like an anejo. It's also just a tad bit too 'syrupy' for my taste. I don't think I'd mix this one. It's best as a sipper.

Aroma: A very clear nose of caramel and vanilla.
Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel. Upon entry into the mouth it is very sweet with slight bitterness. First taste is vanilla.
Body: A body consisting of agave, cinnamon, and wood.
Finish: A very heated finish of short duration.

It is "middle-ground" from start to finish. Nose is dominated by strong brown sugar & caramel aromas, mild agave and milder fruit, maybe apricot. Medium body moderates the sweetness of the aroma, and allows the agave flavour to develop without bitterness. Fades very elegantly with spice and pepper. Personally, I find the sweetness of the aroma a bit excessive but the body and finish tend to balance it out. Overall it is a pleasing product. The short and stable bottle design is an asset when presenting and pouring at the table. For all their moderate characteristics, this Reposado and its its Anejo counterpart are my "training wheels" tequilas for the uninitiated.
