This spirit has a clean, golden/yellow color with a moderate agave & slightly alcohol nose. I first detected flavors of spicy cinnamon which later accompanied cherry & hints of vanilla. This light-medium body tequila enabled the cherry essence to continue through to a nice open, moderately long finish. Jarro Viejo is relatively smooth with an enduring warm & glowing sensation. This tequila drinks more like a blanco than a reposado. It lacked any of the aging attributes associated with the rested classification. However on the other hand, it is a very flavorful & enjoyable tequila well worth the $24.95 price tag. B/B+.
