To me the olfactory experience is extremely important since this is the initial introduction to any spirit. This nose was weak but did open slightly to caramel, spice, & some wood. Hints of agave & citrus became more apparent after airing. The overall body was Puerto Vallarta's finest attribute. The finish was on the short side of medium & a relatively smooth tasting was the result. Once again, better mixed!

Very light dull golden in color, this repo is nothing special, even for $16.99 a bottle. Definitely something I'd much rather use as a mixer than a sipper. I think the anejo is this lines best showing. Interesting transition from the repo to the anejo. I dont think Ill ever get another bottle of this.

Aroma: A faint nose of vanilla and fruit.
Initial taste: A semi oily mouth feel, slight bitterness upon entry. Inital taste of wood.
Body: Burnt agave, wood and slight spices.
Finish: A slightly bitter, heated finish of short duration with a woody lingering.

Puerto Vallarta Reposado Color: very very faint brown tint Aroma: agave and a bit of chocolate Taste: light on the tongue with the taste of pure agave, clay and burnt wood with a strong burn of a finish though not a burn that makes your eyes water like smoke from a campfire. I can not add their reposado to my 'recession' Tequila like I have done with their blanco. The smell, spice and weight of this reposado is what I enjoy in this category, though the taste was not as broad. This is what I expected from such a low priced Tequila, but I thought with the success of their blanco I would of been surprised - sorry to say no.
