This reposado completes my tasting of this line. As I stated in the reviews of their other products. This line stands out to me in the sea of new tequilas. Im pretty much with drawnad on tasting notes. Also, this line seems to have one nice finish that lasts. The prices recently dropped, I found a bottle for $34, I think thats a decent price. Id buy a bottle again.

Aroma: A nice berry aroma.
Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel. Smooth and sweet entry, no bitterness.
Body: A great agave body with compliments of vanilla and fruit.
Finish: A lingering berry/agave finish with medium heat.

Notes here are from the 2nd tasting.

The color is medium yellow, a little darker than many repos I've seen lately. The nose gives me an immediate hit of vanilla/caramel, and if I didn't know better I'd think it was an anejo. This makes me think they keep this stuff in barrels the full 364 days. Anyway, nose it a little more and you'll find some green banana peel, some black pepper, and maybe a tiny bit of agave (but not much).

Just a hint of sweetness on the entry, with a thin mouth feel. Also a bit of astringency, but it's not egregious. The mid palate gives me some bittersweet chocolate with a nuttiness, very rich. A little alcohol on the finish, and an odd aftertaste I can't quite identify, and it's not entirely pleasant. Not terrible by any means, but I could do without it.

I will say that I enjoy the Semental repo more than the blanco, but I wouldn't buy either of them at their current prices.

I liked the bottle of this in the store, plus it had a little sign in front of it that it was one of the workers recommended bottles. That store has very knowledgable people working there so I took his word and am glad I did.

This is a little thicker than many rep's. It had slow, almost syrupy, tears. And while it is a thicker tequila than many it is not syrupy in taste. Instead it is just a very nice, thick, warm, and smooth drink.

The aroma is nice - citrus, wood, vanilla, pineapple, and a touch astringent.

Entry is thick and warm, very nice and smooth. Body was really nice and had vanilla, caramel, and fruit flavors, all while staying very centered on the agave.

Finish is nice, a little peppery and a nice long berry-fruit aftertaste.

I found it particularly enjoyable because I think it's a good representation of what a reposado should be like. This is very good and worth trying, and I could see someone stocking this as a go-to reposado.
