Brown-Forman tequila deal to close next month
Brown-Forman Corp. has announced that its purchase of tequila producer Grupo Industrial Herradura will close Jan. 11 rather than at the end of this month, as was expected.
The closing date has been delayed because of a high quantity of work and the seasonal holidays, the Louisville-based beverage company said in a news release.

Brown-Forman to buy tequila company for $876M
Brown-Forman Corp. has agreed to buy tequila producer Grupo Industrial Herradura, commonly known as Casa Herradura, for $876 million.
Guadalajara, Mexico-based Casa Herradura has about 1,100 employees and is the third-largest tequila manufacturer behind Cuervo and Sauza. The company was founded in 1870 by Don Felinciano Romo and still is privately held by the Romo family.
