"The judging was held on March 18th and 19th at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco. There were over 700 spirits entered from 51 countries making the largest spirit competition in America."
Casa Noble Añejo Tequila received Double Gold, the highest medal awarded by the competition and one reserved for those spirits that received a unanimous vote for a Gold Award by all judges rating the spirit. The San Francisco World Spirit competition is "Founded in 2000 by Anthony Dias Blue, the Wine and Spirit Editor of Bon Appetite Magazine and Carol Seibert, the Managing Director of the San Francisco International Wine Competition." Among the prestigious panel of judges there were some of the most respected names in the industry, F. Paul Pacult, Robert Plotkin, David Wandrich, Julio Bermejo, Tony Abou-Ganim, just to name a few.
