Churchill Downs® Appoints Tequila Herradura® As The Official Tequila Of The 2008 Kentucky Derby®
Herradura Joins Other Brown-Forman Brands as the Official Toast of the Track
April 22, 2008, Louisville, KY – Churchill Downs has selected Tequila Herradura as the “Official Tequila for Kentucky Derby® 134”, becoming the first tequila maker to carry this prestigious honor.
Herradura, which translates to horseshoe in Spanish, will join other official Brown-Forman brands to the starting gates for Kentucky Derby 134 and Churchill Downs’ Derby-related events, including Woodford Reserve® Bourbon, Early Times® Mint Julep, Finlandia® Vodka, Korbel® California Champagne and Fetzer® Wines.
