This anejo has remnants of both the blanco and reposado. I drank side-by-side against the Don Augustin reposado. The nose is more pronounced than the reposado. The aroma is mild fruit and reminded me of a box of raisons. The tequila was oily and had a smoky, cedar-like initial taste with faint sweetness and a slightly bitter finish. Overall, good but not spectacular. My favorite anejos are Don Julio 1942 and Don Julio. I've also tried Pueblo Viejo Orgullo, Corzo, and Herradura. I like this better than the reposado. Not bad for around $26.
