Muerto Tequila Plata
Muerto Tequila Plata is 100% Blue Agave produced at Destiladora del Valle de Tequila in the Lowlands of Jalisco. The name "Muerto" was inspired by the Day of the Dead or “Dia de los Muertos” which is the day used to reflect and remember ancestors and friends who have died.
Muerto Tequila combines the best of the traditional methods and technological advances when it comes to Tequila production. Traditional slow-baking brick ovens and autoclaves are used to cook the blue agave hearts, as well as traditional mills (molinos) to extract the juices from only the finest blue Agave. They ferment with naturally occurring yeast and distillation takes place in old fashioned pot stills. All water is processed through an ultra-modern system of reverse osmosis, de-ionization, and ultra violet bacteria eliminating lights, followed by two types of filtration.
