My first experience with anything from the Sin Rival line...and really one of my first from NOM 1466.
Aroma: A lot of oak. Musty agave with very little sweetness in the nose. Lots of vegetal notes & hint of mint.
Initial Taste: Cooked agave with TONS of vegetal notes.
Body: Lots of flavors. Oak, agave, veggies, vanilla, mint. A strange combination of flavors that at times is good and other times they seem to be fighting each other.
Finish: Vegetal notes remain, but are complimented by an oak filled and dark chocolate finish that lingers around nicely. Really smooth and complex finish (and unexpected).
I’m not exactly sure what to say about this tequila. If you like vegetal tequilas, you will probably like this one. If you like tequilas that challenge your palate…you will definitely like this one. There’s a lot going on in this bottle. For the price, it's about what you'd expect.
