Distinqt Tequila Reposado

Distinqt Tequila Reposado is 100% Agave and comes from the El Viejito distillery located in the town of Atotonilco in the "highlands" of Jalisco, Mexico. This region is recognized, among other things, for having the best soil, water, and altitude to grow Agave plants, and of course for the quality of the tequilas produced in this region. Distinqt Tequila Reposado rests in used Whiskey barrels for under a year before being bottled.

The main offices and bottling plant are in the town of Guadalajara with a bottling capacity of up to 100 cases per shift. Tequila El Viejito S.A. de C.V. started exporting in 1963 and currently exports tequila to many countries around the world and is one of the main companies responsible for tequila's popularity worldwide. The founder, elder son, and current General Director have all been presidents of the National Tequila Association proving that Tequila El Viejito is a recognized and respected leader in the industry.

Distinqt Tequila is available at Trader Joe's, the other brand alongside Trader Jose's.

Tasted in a Reidel glass on October 3, 2013. This is a brand marketed by Trader Joe's for $20 for a 750 ml bottle, but is not Trader Joe's branded like their silver tequila. Overall, as my ratings reflect it's very good. It's not the best for sipping but isn't bad at all. It has hints of caramel and vanilla, but has a clean agave taste and a light straw color. It's cousins are El Viejito, Peligroso, and Campeon made by the same distiller. There is a lot of value here for the money.
