Clear and light golden hue, lighter than most reposados, light body, enjoyable medium nose full of herb and agave with hints of fruit. Sweet body tasting of herbs and brandy, finishing with hot peppery and earthy aftertaste. A great unique bottle with a colored glass tiki head at the bottom.

One of the great presentations of tequila out there. The tiki man in the bottle looks awesome.

Aroma: Light scent of earthy agave, vanilla and fruit.
Initial Taste: Light agave flavor. Hints of vanilla, oak and ripe fruit.
Body: Very thin body. Nice addition of oak and spice on the palate to compliment the sweetness.
Finish: Short finish. The pepper and spice flavor is nice, but it's only there for a short time. Very smooth finish.

For the juice that's in the bottle, this tequila is a bit overpriced. The bottle itself is awesome and the tequila is good, but in the $45-50 range, there's better and more complex juices out there.

Colour and appearance in the Riedel glass suggests a light tequila. First sniff is mild agave and wood, with a fairly heavy presence of alcohol. First taste is a pleasantly bitter agave and an alcohol astringency which seems to accentuate the bitterness. Finishes moderately hot with notes of earth and green herbals, maybe mint. Overall, it is an average reposado with a thin flavour line.
I agree fully with 1tequila2 that the agave in the body is its strongest attribute - there really is little else. It is a bit expensive for making margaritas and barely stands on its own as a sipper.

The rear stick-on label is difficult to read, but says the agave is harvested after a minimum 10 years. Website also says nothing little about the origins of their agave - there are only insistent claims that it is somehow mystical and magical. Regardless of where it is coming from, I believe Agroindustria Guadalajara has some work to do on this product.

Tequila tasting review of VooDoo Tiki Reposado. NOM 1068 done 11/23/07 in Riedel glass. This tequila is a light golden color. The nose has medium alcohol, hints of vanilla and wood, with mild mint and white pepper. Mostly green earthy agave takes precedence. Long legs give way to beautiful pearls that cling to the glass. First taste starts with a crisp agave attack dominated by white pepper. It then continues on with slight oak, moderate bitterness, and plenty of alcohol heat. It has a slight chocolate aftertaste with a long hot finish. Just a bit harsh, but still very sip able. This tequila has a nice intensity and complexity that revolves around its agave center. The very nice handcrafted and numbered bottles each have a glass Tiki idol inside and different special magical words.
