Milagro Cantinas
Milagro Cantinas are the leading Mexican restaurants in Toronto. Milagro is an original concept created by Arturo & Andrés Anhalt, brothers, both restaurateurs born & raised in Mexico City. Milagro is inspired by the traditional cantinas & restaurants of the golden era where patrons were guaranteed friendly service, mouth watering traditional Mexican food & refreshing beverages. The word Milagro in Spanish means Miracle.
The bars, normally classically designed & made out of wood, are central at Mexico City Cantinas where Patrons usually order classic drinks: straight 100% Agave Tequilas, wine sangrias, margaritas, daiquiris, rums, brandies, whiskeys & simple mixed cocktails. At Milagro our guests enjoy Toronto’s most extensive selection of Tequilas, popular Mexican beers, a unique selection of fresh lime margaritas blended with fresh fruits & liqueurs, different styles of wine sangrias as well as a vast selection of rum & Tequila cocktails. We also offer’s guests a select list of wines from Ontario, Latin America & Spain by the bottle, half liter or glass.
Atmosphere in Cantinas is usually lively but the establishments’ designs & looks are normally simple & plain. Although Milagro incorporates classic dark toned woodwork & furniture, mirrors, elegant cantina bars as in pure 1940's cantinas & walls painted in the traditional two toned fashion used all over the country, Milagro is also strikingly different to its more traditionalist counterparts in relation to design; our Toronto Cantinas are colorful, warm & funky incorporating many iconic & even kitsch elements found in the vast Mexican culture & visual imagery such as the game of lotería, the luchadores & the movie posters of the 50’s. We offer polite, warm, open, positive & friendly service, characteristic of cantinas; we strive to surprise our customers with excellent service, attention to detail & efforts that go beyond their expectations. Everybody who comes to Milagro is treated as a friend.
