The Alley Cantina
The Alley Cantina is on the plaza in the heart of historic Taos, New Mexico. Located in what is probably the oldest building in Taos, the Alley has a rich history dating back over 400 years. This property was formerly The Alley is a lively, social place for both visitors and Taosenos. We serve homemade southwestern and BBQ food and are famous for our Fish and Chips. There are lots of appetizers for any time of day. Every night of the week has live entertainment. The Alley Cantina offers a good selection of tequila including Don Julio, El Reformador, Patron, etc. There have been numerous sightings and "incidents" experienced by employees and guests alike. Kit Carson and Buffalo Bill Cody are reported to have visited frequently. The property became a restaurant in 1944 under the name "El Patio" and has continuously operated since then.
