A really nice nose of apples, berries, candied orange peels, with a tinge of oak. There is enough agave left to be legit, but not overly sweet by any stretch. In the taste, it loses most of the fruitiness and turns to the oak and charcoal with a slightly sweet undertone of cooked agave. Body is of medium weight with a little oiliness and coating. The finish is a nice balance of burn and lingering aftertaste of fruit and baking spices.
This is one of the nicer anejos to currently be had. It is well-balanced all around. Sells for a fair price for what you get, which is a quality anejo tequila for around $55. A somewhat phallic-shaped bottle that looks more like a wine decanter than a bottle of tequila, but it is attractive on display.
