El Agave Tequila Artesanal Blanco

Tequila El Agave Artesanal Blanco

Tequila El Agave Artesanal Blanco is made from 100% blue agave harvested from the highlands of Jalisco. El Agave Artesanal has created a new concept in tequila: its flavor is a balance of the perfect mixture of the agave plant and its maturing.

The heart of the blue agave is roasted in clay ovens made from the same volcanic rich soil where the blue agave flourishes in Jalisco.

Our triple distillation process produces tequila of extraordinary depth and character. Clear and transparent, El Agave Blanco is triple-distilled for unparalleled smoothness. There are many kinds & types of Tequila, but only one is authentically from El Agave.

Tasted 07/25/14 from a Riedel Tequila Glass.
Purchased on sale at BevMo for $22.99

Color-less and crystal clear
Aroma: Light, clean agave nose with subtle green grassy notes characteristic of a highland tequila.
Initial Taste: Clean, crisp, and smooth sweet agave peppery taste with faint floral notes.
Body: Medium-light body with light tears on glass. Light buttery mouth feel.
Finish: A short to medium long peppery agave finish.

This is a good “value” tequila at the sale price. It has a smooth, predominantly agave flavor that would make a nice mixer or an OK sipper. It seemed to lack other flavors, e.g. citrus or floral notes to compliment the peppery spice of the agave.

El Agave blanco is a very nice tequila. Although, it doesnt break itnto my top 5, I would say it very well may be in my top 10. Id have to say a very nice sipper, no mixing, please!

Aroma: Very clear vanilla and citrus aroma.
Initial Taste: It has an oily mouth feel to it, with a creamy vanilla taste when put on tip of my tongue.
Body: Very intense agave followed by notes of pepper and spice.
FInish: A creamy finish of short to medium duration. No bitterness.

I give this blanco a solid B+. And for the price, you cant go wrong.
