A nice nose of fruits, with the barrel adding more complexity to their blanco. I get a bit of candied orange and red apple. Initially a sweet taste with more hints of candied orange peel and just a tinge of caramel - no real oak to speak of. Generally subtle in taste like the blanco, a nice weight in the body, although it does feel just a bit thinner/drier from the barrel influence, but the body doesn't drop-off drastically from the unaged version. This is a smooth tequila, and what little bit of bite was present in the blanco is rounded out by the barrel aging...so, not a lot of zing left here in the repo. But there is more linger in the flavors.

A pleasant sipper, but not a show stopper or 'special occasion' tequila. With the smoothness and subtlety, it would be a good intro sipper. Not normally priced as a bargain, if found under $30 it is a good value worhty of sharing with friends and family. It would add great flavor to a margarita without a premium price tag. A very practical and functional bottle with a solid screw top. It has simple unpretensive labeling, and of course the name is slightly humorous to us gringos thinking of a Mexican appetizer of chips and melted cheese, so there is a temptation to not take this brand seriously. That would be a mistake. Don Nacho provides a nice sipping experience.
