Tasted on 09/29/08 out of a double ball glass. I don't see myself ever ordering this tequila again. Always bear in mind that this is just my opinion. I have an extreme dislike for black licorice and coffee, two aromas and tastes I found in this tequila. If you like these two, this is definitely your thing.

Aroma: Quite unique. Black licorice citrus, and agave.
Initial Taste: It all started out really nice, but went downhill quickly. A thin mouth feel, with slight bitterness. Starting out as citrus and agave.
Body: Turned into straight up black licorice, coffee, and agave.
Finish: A very heated finish with a mild alcohol burn.

A very unique tasting experience, yet not my cup of tea.

Tasted this with brandy snifters at home (we don't have our Riedels yet). This is not the smoothest tequila we've had, but it has a remarkable fragrance combining vegetal, herbal, floral, smoke, and baking spice notes. The clean finish leaves you with the agave, smoke and what seems like a bit of residual sugar.
