Penacho Azteca Tequila Reposado

Tequila Penacho Azteca Reposado

Penacho Azteca’s name originates from the Plume of Moctezuma, a headdress of feathers and precious stones used by the Aztec emperor. This exceptional Tequila is made from select Agave grown by Tequilera El Triangulo S.A. de C.V. located in Usmajac.

There is a fabulous chocolate, vanilla, and caramel scent resulting from resting in the barrels. Penacho Azteca’s exquisite aromas of pear, apple, crystallized cherries, cooked Agave, clove, cinnamon and floral tones give this Tequila a true full-bodied taste.

Taste tested along with 10 other great reposados in a Corazon snifter on 3/3/12 pleasantly caramel on the nose with the initial taste being smooth and a nice blend of butter and caramel with no woodyness. The finish was very nice and long lasting with a pleasant warm agave sweetness. Nothing wrong with this one. Paid $37 and the bottle is very nice. I will get another when this one is empty
