This mezcal has high promise, but fails to meet the mark. It is intensely woody very smoky in flavour. While that isn't always a bad thing the combination of these dominant flavours in this case not only chase away much of the subtlety, they also makes it rather like sipping on a campfire. The overpowering nature of this mezcal makes it fine to sip a little of, but as it lacks depth it doesn't lend itself to savouring.
