This is one of the first premium tequilas that I ever bought and sipped. It's a good solid tequila with no special tastes that make it unique. It's just agave, wood and spice and the basics of what tequila lovers all look for in good juice.

Aroma: The least pleasant part of this one. Maybe a bit more alcohol smell than I wanted, but it opens up after sitting for a while.
Taste: A good solid mix of agave and oak. No other tasting notes that are particularly noteworthy. It's a medium body that is not too oily.
Finish: Just like the taste throughout. Pleasant, wood and nice agave flavor.

It's a solid all around tequila. For $35, it's a good deal. For $50, I'd rather buy something else. It's fairly easy to find, so it's a good one to recommend to new people looking for a good solid sipper.

I would give this tequila a solid B. It’s nice, but really nothing special. The flavor is strait tequila, it is not super smooth or altered, but there isn't really anything wrong with that. It has nice tequila spiciness to it but I think for the money there is better tequila to be had, but if it’s on sale it’s worth a try.

This one started me om my passion for Tequila. The best value out there. Its oak finish is smooth with a little bite. It is not to heavy and its finish is spicey. Its wood aroma is what draws a non tequila drinker in. A great bottle to open on poker night. I always have a bottle in reserve.

I got lucky and picked up a bottle of this for $35.00. For that price, it is a good Tequila. The initial nose is adventurous. It consist of pepper, spice, agave and some minerals. It held onto the glass lightly and showed some thinness in it's legs.
Upon first sip, I was taken back by the sweetness and spice. It had an almost candy taste to it, but a lingering hint of wood kept me guessing. I let it rest in my mouth for a minute and develop. After 30 seconds, the flavor developed a little, but still, was dominated by a strange spice and wood flavor. After I swallowed it, I sensed that this tequila had a unique character, one that was enjoyably different. It is not your usual agave and wood affair, but something very different. It almost had to much flavor by way of it's particular sweetness.
If you are in a "Macho" mood and want a share your drink with myriad friends, then this Añejo is a good choice.
