Chinaco?s Blanco is crystal clear with a slightly salty perfume whose soft sensations on the nose cleverly invite curiosity. From first sip to swallow the tequila only opens slightly remaining steady and smooth until the classic bite and breath that distinguishes tequila's character. I would describe it as the silk stockings of platas given its sophisticated presence in aroma and body. I noted subtle waves of lime and an almost sweet impression at the tip of the lips after initial taste. Bottle is simple, and one has to appreciate the honorable GGDL dedication considering the flash with trash tactics some bottlers employ to awe the drinker passed mediocrity in taste.

I've been using this blanco to convert tequila haters for a while now, and it's seldom failed. It's wonderfully pure, complex, smooth, and enjoyable.

Aroma: Earth, clay, grass, agave, and salt. Some floral and citrus notes reveal themselves after the glass breathes a bit.
Initial taste: Not too sweet, and not bitter at all. A bit of floral and fruit in a nice, rounded texture.
Body: Very agave forward with citrus lingering. A small amount of spice.
Finish: The earthy, agave finish gives way to notes of lemon peel. Then, as the agave falls off, the finish keeps going with notes of vanilla and spice.

Fantastic.

Tasted in a caballito on April 11, 2008 showing clear thunder thigh lasting legs on the glass.

Chinaco Blanco

Color: clear
Aroma: agave & clay
Taste: clay with hot pepper finish and light on the tongue

I enjoy the light blanco mouthfeel of the Chinaco Blanco with its earthy agave taste. This is a pure well done Blanco that can be drunk neat, on ice or in a cocktail !

The Chinaco Blanco is currently my top Blanco pick as of the writing of this review, along with Corralejo or the El Diamante Del Cielo's.

Based on reviews posted on Tequila.net, I was really looking forward to buying and trying the Chinaco Blanco. Could not have been more disappointed. I actually purchased two different bottles, six months apart. Same disappointing results.

Tasted like it had been contaminated with saltwater and pickle juice.
