I bought it for the same reason everyone else probably has, the color and bottle. The aroma was superb, very much like the Burgundy barrels it was rested in. The taste was certainly not up to my standards. Very medicinal and sharp, with very little agave flavor. A stronger burn going down than I like, yet no after burn. I will not buy this again, it just wasn't that good. Just the uniqueness of the bottle and the color got me to buy it

Tasted at home in Reidel Tequila glass, room temperature

Initial scent is light Agave mixed with a light sweetness. It is very easy to sip, with no burn at all, rare for most reposados, especially a 3mo. There is little agave taste, its faint but its there. More prominent is the sweet taste, its not strong, but it does hide the already light agave. The finish has a toffee/caramel flavor finishing as smooth as it started.

This is definitely not your normal tequila. The pink color, light agave, sweet flavor and sweeter finish are all out of the norm. The sweetness and smoothness are what attracts me. These attributes are not what I look for in all my tequilas, but there are a select few that do it right, and this is one of them.

The bottle is nicely done, an elegant shape with handpainted flowers. Sure there is a complaint that the bottle has a phallic shape, but I only saw this after it was mentioned elsewhere. I accept the bottle for what the creator intended, to resemble an antique English decanter.
This is a bit pricey for a reposado, no doubt due in part to the fancy bottle and heavy advertising the company does for the brand. However going strictly on taste, I would pay the $50 (in western MA) any day.

Bought this in Indiana - a small bottle (375 ml I think) on sale for $20.

I was surprised to enjoy this as much as I did. I prefer anejo's typically, but this was quite delicious. The nose is floral, but even more than that was a smell that took me back to childhood - it smells like Bazooka bubble gum (well, at least a strong presence anyway)!

The initial taste goes along with the sweet smell, but I actually like the sweet presence of the bordeaux barrels with the agave - a very nice blend for me. I actually thought there was a nice agave presence and was happy with that. The finish was good with a nice little burn, but I'm interested to try the longer aged reposado they have - I think I may enjoy that more as it probably has a little smoother finish and overall taste.

I'd highly recommend trying this if you have the chance - if nothing else it's a pretty unique tasting tequila, and it made me want to try other AsomBroso products.

My sister-in-law happened to notice the bottle first, then the color of the tequila in the bottle. So far so good, even knowing my wife and her are wine and tequila drinkers this process of aging the tequila in oak barrels used for wine was too hard to resist. Then the tasting begins and neither male or female could believe how terrible this was. Stay with the traditional barrels and allow the tequila to at least come through the flavors.

I did not like AsomBroso La Rosa; but my wife did. For me, I guess there was something "off" about the flavors. It's probably the red wine barrels used to age the tequila that, for most people, is the draw of this tequila; but for me it created a tequila that had too much fruit and sweetness and not enough agave.

That is probably what my wife loved about it. The only 2 tequilas she will drink right now are 1942 and now AsomBroso Rosa - so she likes very light, very sweet, and very smooth.

If that is your speed, then maybe AsomBroso Rosa would be a good tequila to try. For me, I'll pass.
