Tasted out of a double ball glass. I was eager to try this one. The whole visual of it (clear in color and being a 'reposado') really had me intrigued. I can't say I was 'wowed', but I was very pleased. Even though all the aromas and tastes were more subtle than I anticipated, it's still a good tequila, even if it doesn't seem like one. I think it makes a very good sipper. I wouldn't mix this one.

Like I said, all the aromas and tastes were more subtle than any other tequila I've tasted:

Aroma: An aroma of pine, earth, slight smoke and earth.
Initial Taste: A soft entry, a thin mouth feel with no bitterness. An initial taste of herbs.
Body: A 'creamy' agave body, with compliments of earth, and slight vanilla.
FInish: A nice slightly heated finish with a lingering of earth cinnamon.

I must admit I was apprehensive when I saw clear reposado. But I quickly fell in love. This is a very smooth, delicious and very pleasant tequila. I would recommend to anyone to try. 10x better than the overrated, over priced popular Patron(Leave on the shelf). This great taste I would rank right up with Dos Lunas and Tres Generaciones as my favorites. You can mix it. But I prefer to leave in the freezer and shot/sip. No watering it down in shakers with ice. It's sweet, smooth with very minimal burn if you even want to call it that. The finish is as pleasant as the beginning! The listing here says $70-$100 a bottle. I been able to find $35-$38. I wish I could afford to drink everyday. No use wasting time or money for anything else.

A clear reposado. Sounds like another marketing gimmick, but inside is a pretty good tequila at a pretty good price @ around $35 a bottle.

The smell is sweet and pleasant. Lots of vanilla, agave and spice. The taste matches the smell with a sweet start, not too much alcohol burn and a short and smooth finish. It definitely has the smoothness of something that has been well rested.

I've used this to sip and to mix. It does the trick for both nicely. A good tequila at a good price that can be used for many purposes. A great tequila for people new to tequila as well.

This is very good, but I will say that it being so clear it was messing with my mind,it looks like a blanco, says its reposado, but tastes like anejo. i think it tastes more anejo.

Very disappointing tequila. The flavor was sharp, not smooth at all. I expected much, much more from this premium-priced tequila, and everyone I've shared it with has agreed that this is not worthy of the high price, nor the very high reviews it has received. Avoid this one.
